About Rodney ...
My name is Rodney Foley. I have been a hairdresser and involved in the industry for over 40 years.
I started in London in the early 60s. My
apprenticeship was for four years - it was hard and
wonderful at the same time.
Entertaining many competitions and being
placed in quite a few, I have learned a huge amount.
I obtained my London City and Guilds,
then continued to work as a hairdresser in London,
where at the age of 21 I was given the
opportunity to become a partner in a business. I
have been in my own business ever since.
Hairdressing is a growing business on a
day to day scale which I enjoy most of all.
I came to New Zealand in the 70s, worked
briefly for a salon in Remuera; after
three months I opened my own business.
Travelling abroad often to keep up with
modern trends, education has always been my
passion.
Today I have two salons in Auckland,
which I work very hard to maintain
levels of both: Service and Education.
